Allometry and Post-Drought Growth Resilience of Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur L.) Varieties

This paper presents an analysis of the radial growth, tree dimensions, and allometry three phenological pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.; QURO) varieties (early (E-QURO), typical (T-QURO), late (L-QURO)), from a common garden experiment. We focused on resistance resilience each variety to drought events, which occurred in 2012 2017, as well their recovery potential during juvenile mature growth phases, with goal clarifying how QURO sensitivity is influenced by phenology stage. Our results indicate that E-QURO more resistant, while T-QURO L-QURO exhibit greater after event. Hence, are better prepared withstand climate change. also noted differences physical dimensions studied varieties. On average, 21-year-old specimens analyzed stand 9.35 m tall, have crown width (CW) 8.05 m, diameter at breast height (DBH) 23.71 cm. Although had greatest DBH CW, they were shorter than E- L-QURO, similar height. relative DBH, has wider (TH). Intra-variety variations higher among half-sib (open-pollinated) families variety. Moreover, adopted regression model provided fit CW/DBH ratio TH/DBH CW/TH.
